In order to increase health goals, personalized customization has become a new trend in the beverage industry!
According to the latest forecast of market research consulting firm Mintel, after 2019, consumers will regard their bodies as ecosystems and increase their health goals.
The global consumer trends study released by Mintel in early October shows that consumers are increasingly interested in products that can improve the health of their microbiota and allow themselves to pursue further health.
Simon Moriarty, Mintel's regional trending director for Central East Europe and Africa, said: "From fermented foods that benefit the gut to probiotic skin care, consumers will demand products that are balanced and promote natural bacteria both inside and outside the body."
He introduced that products focusing on the health of the microbial flora have entered the market, prompting people to be aware of this aspect of health, so consumer demand for products tailored to specific health needs is also increasing.
"In terms of gut health, things like growing groups of bacteria at home (and in some cases giving them away) and adding them to things like komprom tea, we know more and more people are interested."
Diet personality customization
Mintel's research shows that more and more consumers are looking for personalization, with as many as 42 per cent of Britons interested in a diet that is personalised based on their genes or DNA.
"The development of health monitoring, such as skin sensors or absorbable capsules, will meet consumer demand for this personalized customization, and will also establish scientific research on the basis of these emerging fields."
Moriarty added that this interest in the microbiome could be considered the next step derived from "strengthening the brain", as the term was all the rage last year, reflecting a greater focus on making and buying diets that improve their intellectual health.
"In the past few years, we have seen people more consciously set goals in different areas of their lives to improve overall mental and physical health."
"Because there is a huge amount of information on the Internet, consumers can quickly and easily study what they can eat, drink or apply to their skin, which can help them relieve stress, reduce weight, reduce fatigue and so on."
Looking to the future, Moriarty believe that consumers will use more technology to improve their health, because the development of technology products allows people to monitor and track their bodies.
Mintel also revealed a consumer trend of "taking the challenge", that is, as people use social media to emphasize their own wishes, people are moving further forward and expanding their comfort zone.
Moriarty point out that as technology enables people to measure themselves against others, these trends have created new communities of like-minded people. All the competition that follows will inevitably lead to a rise in people's health goals.
"This trend highlights the desire not only to push themselves to try new diets or new hobbies, but also to use social media to measure themselves against others and inspire people to follow their lead-people interested in new challenges like improving their gut health have created new communities."
